BIAP student Duccio Calosi (University of Barcelona) was awarded his PhD on 16 June 2026. Congratulations, Duccio!

Duccio studied Philosophy at the University of Florence (BA), the University of Oslo (Erasmus+), the University of St Andrews (MPhil), and the University of Barcelona (PhD). His academic research has focused primarily on Philosophy of Language, Conceptual Engineering, and Metasemantics. Alongside his academic interests, he has a longstanding passion for Eastern Philosophy, particularly Vedanta and Yoga, which he studies and seeks to apply in everyday life.

His PhD thesis, Pluralist Conceptual Engineering: A Defence and Development, was completed under the supervision of BIAP members Teresa Marques and Manolo Martínez. His doctoral research was supported by a FI-SDUR scholarship.
