Sergi Morales-Gálvez is an Assistant Professor in political philosophy at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona and a member of the Political Theory Research Group at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He also holds a PhD in Political Philosophy from KU Leuven (2018). Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia (2023–2025), a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2020–2021), and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Limerick (2021–2023).
He is especially interested in social justice issues in diverse societies. On the one hand, he is concerned with matters related to equality and freedom, in order to achieve a more prosperous world with a fairer distribution of both wealth and property. On the other hand, he also cares about subjects such as identity, language, and the construction of a notion of citizenship able to accommodate these concerns.
