Oscar Piedrahita is a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellow at LOGOS, at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona.
Oscar works in epistemology and has side research interests at the intersection of epistemology and moral responsibility. His current research covers various subfields of epistemology, including social epistemology. One focus is the epistemology of ignorance, where he develops strategies to explain ignorance as inherently agential. His interest in epistemic agency has led him to explore epistemic nudges and epistemically suboptimal forms of persuasion. As a UC Irvine alumnus, it is no surprise that he also has an interest in Wittgensteinian hinge epistemology.
