Riin Kõiv is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy, supported by the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence grant CEX2021-001169-M (funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033), and a member of the LOGOS Research Group.

Her research focuses on understanding the content and implications of causal claims in human genetics, the interplay between genetic and social explanations of human traits, and the factors that shape how laypeople interpret scientific claims about genetic and biological causality.
